Bangaluru:Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has said that if the Election Commission releases the digital voter list data, it will prove that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s victory was achieved through bogus votes. He was speaking at the “Vote Adhikar Rally” organised by the Congress in Bengaluru.
Rahul Gandhi demanded that the Election Commission provide the electronic voter lists and videography records for the past ten years, asserting that these would help expose electoral malpractices that have taken place across the country.
He stated that the Congress had already managed to prove irregularities in one seat in Karnataka and would similarly investigate 20–25 Assembly constituencies. Even if the Election Commission does not cooperate, the Congress would carry out the investigation on its own, he added.
He further reminded that the Election Commission should work not for the BJP but for the Constitution of the country. Rahul also alleged that by shutting down the websites of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Bihar, the Commission had shown that it fears questions from the public.
